Beautiful in His Eyes

I received THE MOST ADORABLE compliment upon arriving at work one morning.  This young man was so enthralled by my beauty that his words and demeanor let me know just how he felt.  It came as such a surprise, though silently needed at that moment.  He wasn’t aware, but I was given just what the doctor ordered.  So taken by what had occurred, tears of joy and astonishment radiated my sense of being.  As I walked into work, my coworkers sensed that something special had just taken place.  Without going into detail, I explained how that moment made me feel.  As I sighed and basked in his compliment, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart, making me think twice concerning the adornment just received.  The way in which that person felt and complimented me is how God feels about me times INFINITY!  He is so captivated by His handiwork- seeing my beauty both inside and out.  If first things are first, I needed a wake up call to make sure that I did not forget.  Yes, it’s okay to relish in the compliment and proved to be timely with the way I was currently feeling that morning.  However, I was reminded that He has ALWAYS and FOREVER will be captivated with me.  With Jesus, it doesn’t matter if my hairstyle and/or clothing changed. He is more concerned about the condition of my heart and obedience to Him.  Nevertheless, He would forever be smitten because I belonged to Him! If you have never known (or possibly forget) just how important you are to Christ, meditate in prayer and bask in His Word.    May you know that as a child of the King, you are always loved and forever adored!
