What’s Your Big Three?
I can’t believe we only have a few months left until New Years Eve! So much has happened that I will share in the next couple of posts. I thought it was only fitting to reflect on my first post of 2014. Let’s complete some unfinished business and be exceptional as we move forward with Christ.
Hey Christian Singles, Happy New Year!
Will 2014 be the year for love? For some, yes. I personally know 4 people whose wedding dates are months away. For others, the reality is…..no. As I entered this year, I too questioned if God will bring my single season to a close. With that fleeting thought in mind, I know that my issue of singleness has been put to quiet rest and trust in God. But its been a journey…. and still is. Years of anger at His timing, and questioning His plan has given me newfound perspective. The conclusion I’ve arrived at, is this: I do not want to forfeit the peace I could have if I give all of my worries to Him. When my season arrives, I don’t want to regret not being at rest. Looking forward to the new year, I added something vital to focus and prepare myself. A couple of days ago, fasting has helped me to hear God better. I wanted to know what I should do and how to go about it. I wanted a deeper relationship and prayer life with Him. I desired to embrace gratitude and gifts He has for me to serve others. Did He give me answers? Yes. In actuality, He confirmed three things that I need to do before my fast ended. Listening to the new years eve service let me know I was in direct line with His plan.
From finances, saying no to sin, and going deeper with Him, God is saying three things. Perhaps He’s speaking to you in the same way:
1) Be Consistent- God has work for us to do. We cannot haphazardly utilize His gifts when it’s beneficial to us. The world is waiting to hear what He has to say. Therefore give it your all….consistently.
2) Be Intentional- Getting clear on what you should be doing is key. We cannot and should not dwell in the past. In order to make this year successful, we must ask God if this is His will. Only then, can our true intentions lead us in the right direction.
3) Be Ready- God has open doors of opportunity for us. Walking into those doors is dependent upon our consistency and intentions. If we want to be used by Him, we must be ready and do what He’s called us to do.
….But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal, to win the prize for which God called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14).
God has not forgotten the promises He has for you. Who knows, your big three may lead you toward the path of love. Nevertheless, I pray that you remain in the will of God. His plans for your life is better than you or I could ever dream of.
Let’s make this an Awesome Year in 2014….the choice is yours!Posted on: July 24, 2014, by : admin
